Architectural Photography - Week 11 | Museum village

in CCSlast year

Hello friends of the CCS community on Steemit, as always it is a pleasure to present photos, experiences and articles in this community!!

Today I want to share with you some photos of the Eco-museum of Alsace; one of the largest open-air museums in Alsace. A village frozen in time!!
The village is located in Ungersheim, France.

The museum recreates an old Alsatian village with all its life, frozen in time, with its farms, its historical buildings, its old houses and its craft workshops. In general, the village lived off livestock, agriculture and fishing, and its economy was based on barter; for example, a family with apple trees would exchange their apples for the apple pies made by another family, and so on with all the other products that each family exploited and produced.

These first four photos are of one of the oldest houses in the village, from the museum, and dates back to the early 1500s. The house is made of stone and wood; it has two floors, downstairs they used to work wool and upstairs the family lived. The house is closed to the public due to its fragility, since it is too old a house, so I had to take the photo of the interior from outside.

These two photos are of the village's barbershop, which was opened in 1870, a barbershop frozen in time as well.

These last three photos are of the structure, the architecture, of the old, typical houses of the village. We can see the exterior and the interior of the house. Also in one of the photos, we can appreciate its farms with their stork nests on the roof.

Thank you for watching! I hope you enjoyed it.
Until next time: @leorock
