Burning Desire
I present to you my latest painting "Burning Desire". This one has been a stop start process. Originally I started with it last year, however other painting projects cropped up, and then eventually, I reach an impasse with the painting. I had simply lost the thread of what I was doing with it.
Largely I had issues with what I was going to do with the colours as I was working from a black and white reference. So recently I forced myself to take up the brush and apply it to this canvas again. It was still not an easy start and I still took my time to find my way with it. When I finally did find the momentum again, I could not leave it be until I was finished.
"Burning Desire", Leo Plaw, 70 x 50cm, oil on canvas

That is goddamn spectacular. I regret only that I have but one tiny upvote to give :(
Thank you @edumurphy! No worries about the upvote. Any is appreciated. I gave you one back to add another drop to your bucket. =)
Just saw this. My apologies for the lateness. My much-cherished and much needed Samsung Galaxy S4 got stolen a couple of days ago and my internet access is now sporadic. Hoping to buy a new phone with my hypothetical Steemit proceeds :D
Meanwhile, thanks so much for your massive upvote. Much appreciated.
I have a little bit of voting (Steem) power and try to put it to good use.
If you keep posting, commenting, voting and sharing, you will accumulate Steem, and be able to exchange it for another currency. It was also just theory for me until I did it for the first time. Then you start to look at cryptocurrencies with new eyes. It becomes real.
That's the plan. I mean, I am fully on-board with the Steemit vision and it is genuinely amazing the level of thought that has gone into using capitalism to create a nearly selfless world online.
I just really really really want to profit from it as well LOL
Well, it can take time to develop a profit model. It took me years with my artwork. It is the deadly mistake that many new people to this network make, expecting instant success, without putting much effort in.
I have realized that in my first week, yes. I spent most of the past seven days in starry-eyed ebullience, certain I would soon be pulling down $100 paydays with every heartbreakingly brilliant post because I am such a genius. LOL
I have since learned better. I am ready to begin the uphill grind. Steemit is as fair as it ever gets in life.
Exactly!
Whining about how unfair it is that whales have the clout and are pulling big earnings changes nothing.
I would also urge caution about some of these minnow (small people) groups. Some of them have been set up in such a way that you see little return for your investment, while making big earnings for those who control the group profile. Looking at their wallets and following the transactions will show you the truth of things. However, some may also be honest.
The best tactic is, get busy with your own content and commenting, voting and sharing that of others.
Good work, you are very talented))
You are very talented. I just love it.
Omg its like something from the rennasiance! Wow!
Muchas gracias for the resteem Mr. @gric! =)
