Zagreb Gay Pride 2017.

The first Zagreb Pride was held on June 29, 2002, organized by the lesbian group Kontre and the Center for Rights of Sexual and Gender Minorities Iskorak under the slogan "Step against prejudices", which wanted to warn the public of systematic discrimination and violation of human rights of sexual minorities in Croatia. This was the first event of this kind in Croatia where members of the LGBT community came to the public. About 200 people were involved in verbal violence, and among the participants, among others, a tear gas was involved. During and after the event, 32 people were injured, some of which were harder and the police took 27 people. The Zagreb Pride was attended by some members of the state top: Minister of Interior Affairs Šime Lučin, the parliamentary representatives Đurđa Adlešić and Vesna Pusić, the representative of the Italian minority Furio Radin, and the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights in Croatia Juan Pablo Ordonez.

The first stage of pride in Croatia has begun a new stage of LGBT activism. From that day, according to the then Vice-President Iskorak, he has forever changed the position of that community in Croatian society:

The second Zagreb Pride took place on June 28, organized by the lesbian group Kontre and the Center for the Rights of Sexual and Gender Minorities Iskorak under the slogan Again proudly. It was devoted to the introduction of anti-discrimination provisions in Croatian laws and amendments to the Family Law.

The third Zagreb Pride was held on June 19th in the organization of the lesbian group Kontre under the slogan Vive la différence . The topics were the discrimination of the transgender population and the homophobic statements that some Catholic priests said . This year, the event was for the first time supported by some actors and singers.

The fourth Zagreb Pride despite organizational problems was held on July 10 under the slogan "Proud" together as a support to the Register of Registered Partnerships Act. It was organized by informal feminist group Epicriza with support from the lesbian group Kontre and the Center for Peace Studies.

The Fifth Pride Parade was held on June 24, under the slogan "Living with Freedom!", With the theme of freedom of assembly. It was also the first international parade that was organized in support of participants from countries that were unfavorable to a sociopolitical climate whose authorities were not mature about organizing the Pride event and where such a kind of event was banned. This international event brought together representatives from 13 countries. Of the participants, only in Poland, Slovenia, Croatia, Latvia, Serbia and Romania were held Pride until that year, while in Macedonia, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Slovakia, Albania, Bulgaria, Kosovo and Lithuania, until now, . Nevertheless, the situation has changed since then and some states have successfully organized their own Pride.

The sixth event was held on July 7 under the slogan All at Pride! All Pride! This year's theme was the right of sexual minorities to visibility in society and expression of identity without fear of discrimination and abuse. For the first time in six years the route of the parade and the place of gatherings and programs are changed. After the completion of the procession, 20 participants were attacked and the police arrested more people.

The Seventh Zagreb Pride was held on June 28th with the theme of the power of communion and under the slogan "You Have the Bravery!" From this year, all the logistical support to the autonomous organizing committee is provided by the Zagreb Pride association. The Pride passed without incident, and individual attacks occurred at the end of the event.

Eighth Pride Parade was held on June 13, under the slogan Zagreb Pride for the Open City - participate. At the same time, it was held a protest of the opponent of Zagreb Pride. During the day, one person is harder injured, and the police have attracted several people.

The ninth Pride was held on June 19 under the slogan Croatia can swallow it !. The theme was freedom of sexual expression and diversity of sexual practices. For the first time since the event was organized, the President of the Republic of Croatia received the organizing committee of Zagreb Pride. And this year there was a protest against the event, and several attacks were reported.

The Jubilee Tenth Zagreb Pride was held on June 18 under the slogan And the future is ours in the celebration and celebration of the first ten years of the Pride . This was the most massive parade since 2002, involving about 2000 people including numerous public figures, and such response was partly a reaction to the scars that took place at the Split Pride a week earlier.

Eleventh Zagreb Pride was devoted to the right of the same-sex couples and held on June 16 under the slogan "We Have a Family!" A thousand-year-old Croatian dream. This year, for the first time, there was no financial support from the City of Zagreb.

Twelfth Zagreb Pride took place on June 15 under the slogan "This is a land for all of us." Up to 10,000 people have participated in the largest Pride so far, and the whole manifestation has gone without inconvenience.

The Thirteenth Zagreb Pride held on June 14 under the slogan "On the Right Side of History".

I started to participate on Zagreb Pride in 2015. It was about 5000 people, and there were some small incidents.

Zagreb Gay Pride 2016.

Under the slogan 'Free Life Begins with Pride', the sixteenth 'Pride of Pride' of LGBTIQ people and families was held. My first photo in this post is from this year Zagreb pride. It was very good and Im glad to see more and more people every year.

But unfortunatly in 2013.- Croatia has decided - a definition from the Family Law that marriage and community life of men and women will be introduced into the Constitution.
To enter the definition of marriage, 65.87 percent of the voters voted for, while 33.51 percent of the voters voted against it. Exposure was 37.90 percent, and invalid ballots were 0.57 percent. There were 1,436,163 voters, the number of valid ballots was 1,427,967, and the invalid 8196. There were 946,433 voters for, and 481,534 voters against.

Same year goverment is brought law that samesex couples can married and have all the rights. Adopting children is not yet possible, but we are going forward.

I voted against definition that marriage is a community between man and women.

It says- against, as an answer for describing marriage as a man/wife community

I know that LGBTQ people will never be except by all other people, but I'm glad to see that there is much less violence and that Zagreb Pride dont have incidents.

Remember- Gay is OK!
