Hamlet is a piece in five acts, of singular transcendence by the characteristics of his characters and the strength of his drama. In it Hamlet, a dreamer and contemplative character succumbs to the role that seemed to have reserved fatality. The spirit of his deceased father persecutes and torments him seducing him to take revenge for him and kill his uncle. Hamlet pretends to be crazy and abandons his beloved Ophelia, who ends up going mad, losing herself in the shadows and dying. And later Hamlet will fulfill his revenge and end up taking his life.
Hamlet is generally considered a work of singular psychological depth: The intelligent dementia of the character Hamlet and the real madness of Ophelia in the midst of a political conjuncture that reveals the manipulations of power, lead us --- down the path of poetry-- - towards a dramatic proposal with committed literature value and capable of questioning our contemporary events.
