Top 10 Deadliest Animals on Earth
What would you say is the world's most dangerous animal? A shark? A tiger? What about a crocodile?
Although these apex predators are terrifying killers, the world's deadliest animal, year after year, is actually something much smaller - the mosquito.
Here are some of the world's deadliest animals:
Stone Fish

Lying camouflaged on the ocean floor, this ugly little mass of destruction calmly waits for other fish to swim by before opening its jaws with lightning speed and consuming its prey…all in less than .015 seconds. Also known as the “worlds most venomous fish”, stepping on its spines will at best cost you your leg and at worst, your life.
Freshwater Snail

The freshwater snail carries parasitic worms that infect people with a disease called schistosomiasis that can cause intense abdominal pain and blood in the stool or urine, depending on the area that's affected.
Wolves

Wolves killed hundreds of humans every year, which may explain their prevalent role as villainous scavengers in children's stories through the ages. These days, less than a dozen people are killed by wolves annually.
Hippopotamus

For a long time, hippos were considered the most deadly animal in Africa. Hippos are known for being aggressive toward humans, including tipping over boats.
Leopard
When most animals are wounded they run away and hide. Not leopards. When these dangerous creatures are wounded they become even more dangerous. Not only that, but they’re strong. Anyone who has watched the Discovery Channel knows that they like to hide their prey out of reach.
Tsetse Fly

The tsetse fly transmits a disease called sleeping sickness, a parasitic infection that at first can lead to headaches, fever, joint pain, and itchiness, but later can lead to some serious neurological problems.
Snakes

Snake bites kill more than 100,000 people a year as of 2015. Worse still, there's a troubling shortage of an essential antivenom .
Dogs

Man's best friend can also be a nightmare. Maulings and bites from rabid dogs are both to blame for the 25,000 dog-related deaths each year. In countries where dogs commonly carry rabies they are involved in up to 99% of infections, according to the WHO.
Mosquitoes

Mosquitoes — the pesky bugs that suck blood and transmit viruses from person to person — are responsible for the most animal-related deaths.
Humans

Humans is the most deadly animal(and the deadliest mammal) in terms of killing themselves, thanks in no small part to gun violence. We are not quite our own worst enemy - but we're pretty close.
Humans are meh, steemians however? That's a different story
