Disfigured, A 60 second film
I filmed some clips on my walks and mixed them with lots of effects and found footage in post-production. I didn't use any expensive cameras or stuff like that. I just use my DSLR and my phone for some of the shots.
The found footage en sounds used in the video came from every corner of the internet imaginable. The movie itself is just a reinterpretation of our daily surroundings.
By adding the effects, normal, daily things, become disturbed. It paints everything in a different type of light and touches on topics such as Mental health, disorientation, and just plain disturbance, haha!
ehy dear @lennertdirkx, very nice video! I would say that the right word I would use would be "disturbing": a reality really transfigured in a few moves, but hypnotic, I couldn't take my eyes off it until the end !! I don't know if it was your intention, but it really looks like something terrible is coming. The sounds play a big part in this video, you have taken great care in choosing them, bravo !! I hope your class has appreciated your work too! but studies for video and photography?

That's why we cannot trust our senses and reality is so hard to define, despite all the simplifications we may be inclined and forced to make.
I like how you completely changed the perception and even meaning of seemingly simple and commonsensical daily things into enigmatic and quite disruptive images.

Haha! Thank you so much for watching! Searching for all the clips, and editing them together took me about 3 days in total :)
Creativity at it's best. You don't always need the best of things, but you should be able to make the best out of whatever you got and this is nice.
