This beautiful spider has made a web right in front of the access door to my chicken coop.
And it won't leave.
I tried asking nicely, but it's been there for a little over a week now. A few days ago, I had to clean the coop. So as carefully and slowly as possible, I opened the door just enough that I could take out the roosting perch, replace old hay with new, and replace the perch.
All the while, of course, I was apologizing profusely, and reiterating to the poor dude that it really needed to move on.
The next morning, it had fixed all the broken ends of its web.
