The Distinguished Service Medal, DSM,
Instituted in 1914 for senior and junior ratings of the Navy.
It was awarded for
“acts of bravery in the face of the enemy,
For which the award of the Conspicuous Gallantry
was not considered appropriate”.
Replaced in New Zealand in 1999 by the
New Zealand Gallantry Decoration.

I just wanted to let you know I have the idea for Chapter 2 but no words are coming into my head and I didn't want to force it so took today/Sunday (for me) off and will have something tomorrow to read :)

I know the feeling, take your time, a good story will work its own way onto the page, in its own time.
It is mid-winter here, so I am not planning on going anywhere, I'll just sit in front of the fire and keep warm.
