비트코인으로 이자 받을 수 있을까? / How to earn bitcoin interests (Korean-English)

예금은 이자를 받고, 주식은 배당을 받을 수 있는데 비트코인은 그냥 묵혀야 하나 싶어서 좀 찾아봤습니다. (어차피 장기 투자 목적이라).

여러가지 시도해볼 만한 게 있더군요. (대부분 알트코인도 받습니다) 

Money in your bank account gets you some interest payments while stocks get you dividends. What should you do with your bitcoins, especially if you are a long-term investor? Here are a few services I've found. (Most seem to accept altcoins, too). 

1. 

Bitbond라는 사이트에서 코인을 빌려줄 수 있습니다. 일종의 채권 시장입니다. 정말 성공할 가능성이 있어 보이는 기업에 빌려주고 비교적 높은 금리를 받을 수 있다고 하네요. 대부분 이자는 25% 이상으로 보이고 짧게는 두 달에서 3년까지 다양합니다. 후기들을 보면 열에 아홉은 돈을 잘 갚는다고 합니다만, 결국 고수익, 고위험이겠죠. 국내 대출서비스 중에 <8퍼센트> 비슷한 것 같기도.

You can invest in loans with your bitcoins and earn interest rates of about 25%. There are a range of potential borrowers with various level of credit ratings. Of course, some may succeed and some may fail. Look for the one with bright future and growth potential. 

2. 

폴로닉스를 비롯해 일부 거래소에서 비트코인을 일정기간 빌려주고 이자를 받는 기능이 있다고 합니다.  공매도를 위해 만든 기능 같습니다.  단, 급할 때 즉시 매도하지 못할 수 있다는 큰 단점이 있습니다. 이자는 높진 않은 듯 해요. 그래도 몇 달 쌓이면 수수료 정도 커버할 만큼은 될 것 같습니다.  (솔깃하지만 100% 안전한지는 장담할 수 없습니다. 검색해보면 poloniexlendingbot도 나오는데 차이가 뭔지, 폴로닉스가 직접 운영하는 건지 아닌지 모르겠습니다. 안전하다고 하지만 -_-.  실제로 경험해보신 분은 알려주세욥!)

Some exchanges like Poloniex provide lending service. They accept altcoins, too. You can lend some of your holdings to the exchange and they will lend to others who want to borrow - perhaps for short-selling etc. Just remember that you may not be able to withdraw your coins instantly when you needed. Check the terms and conditions carefully. 

(There seems to be an independent service called 'Poloniex lending bot'. Not sure if this is run by Poloniex itself or not. Will have to find out more.)

3. 

무료로 비트코인을 얻는 Freebitco.in이라는 사이트 들어보셨을텐데요. 저는 가끔 컴퓨터 작업이 많을 때 켜놓고 무료 복권 긁는 심정(?)으로 하곤 해요. 그런데 여기에 0.0003 비트코인 이상을 넣어두면 연 4.08% 이자를 지급한다는 알림을 봤습니다. 일단 사이트는 몇 년간 별 탈 없이 운영되서 합법 사이트로 여긴다고들 하는데, 실제로 이자 지급이 잘 되는지는 확신이 서지 않습니다. 장점은 인출 제한이 없다고 하네요. 후기를 보면 괜찮다, 잘 받았다고 하지만, 제가 직접 경험하게 되면 다시 후기 올리겠습니다.

Freebitco.in website is a famous website to get few free bitcoins every hour. This site says that it's paying you 4.06% of interest annually on the bitcoins in your account (bitcoins more than 0.0003). The site has been considered LEGIT for the past few years, and there are some positive reviews about this service. I will share my experience later when I actually get some payments from this site. 번외로 크라우드 펀딩도 있습니다. 

You may try some crowdfunding services which accept bitcoins. 

결론적으로 100% 안전하게 이자 받는 곳은 아직 찾지 못했습니다. 애초에 이자라는 게 기회비용의 대가인 데다, 비트코인 자체가 발행 주체가 없고 은행이 직접 취급하는 통화는 아니므로 어찌보면 당연한 것이겠죠 (앞으로 바뀔 수도 있지만). 그냥 안전한 지갑에 들고 있는 게 나을 것 같습니다만, 굳이 꼽자면 현재로선 폴로닉스 렌딩이 그나마 나아보입니다. 제약이 있다는 건 좀 아쉽지만요. 

* 혹시 국내 거래소도 폴로닉스와 같은 서비스가 있는지 아시나요? 

I haven't found any platform where your bitcoins can be protected 100%. Of course, this is nothing strange if you consider the opportunity cost of lending for interests. But, at times like this, I would rather sit and wait for the bitcoin price to rise and keep them in a safe wallet until I find the safest platform, if any. 

If I have to pick one anyway, my best bet would be trying poloniex (and probably freebitco.in.). The withdrawal limitation may not be that pleasing though.
