Pending my post (link TBA) I've decided to create a complimentary post to put together things about Steemit that I wondered about:
Q1: What is powering down? (I remember seeing a note in another user's wallet that they would be powering down in 7 days)

Q1: How effective is it if I flag a post? (Or do the cleaners need a bit of help?)

Yes, you need to flag this comment of mine within next seven days, if you wish to do so. But again, you can flag any amount of my posts or comments, it won't make any difference to me as you haven't got enough rep score for it.
