This is my first entry into a contest as a newbie. I stumbled upon it thanks to @disconnect and decided to dive in.

I reminisce about a time long ago when mobile phones were nonexistent in my country, making gaming a luxury, especially for people like us. Only the affluent could afford a gaming console for their kids.

My first encounter with computer games was at my dad's boss's house. Their children had a console, and I vividly recall sitting in their living room, watching creatures battling it out on the TV screen while the boys manipulated their controllers.

Initially, I mistook their intense gameplay for a quarrel until I realized what was happening on the screen. The controller they used resembled a gear box, with a long joystick. Watching them play, it seemed as if they were engaged in a real-life duel. It was quite amusing!

Eventually, they invited me to join in. "I don't know how to play," I confessed, but they insisted, giving me a console after taking me on some tutorials. I took over one of the controllers, randomly pushing buttons in different directions. Despite their laughter, I managed to emerge victorious. It was Mortal Kombat 3. That was the first time I played a computer game

After that memorable night, I didn't encounter the game again until a video game store opened in our neighborhood. Although Mortal Kombat wasn't available, I settled for Mario. Over time, I saved up my pocket money and purchased both Mario and the coveted MK3 cartridge.

MY FIRST COMPUTER GAME WAS MORTAL KOMBAT 3 ARCADE

Fighting! fighting!! fighting!!!

In a world where different fighter like Subzero, Scorpion, Rayden, Sonya, Guru, Noob Saibot, Tsang Shung (Shao Khan's socerer), smoke, and other Iconic fighters face off against themselves in an epic battle where fatalities clash with koopa shell, you would not want to miss one. You just want to see it all as each character bring their fighting styles and unique abilities to the table.

In Mortal Kombat, every button on the pad serves a specific function. Combining these buttons unleashes various moves, such as chain combos, programmed into the game.

Some chain combo can end with a powerful upper cut that would toss your opponent straight into the air, and knock it down securing a powerful injury.

Mortal Kombat 3 introduces a storyline following Liu Kang's victory over Shao Khan. There's a lot of stories about this which would be left for another day.

MK 3 has diverse moves. Among them are:

  1. Babalities: A whimsical gesture of mercy, transforming defeated opponents into infants.

  2. Animalities: Winners morph into animals to deliver the final blow.

3.Fatality: This is one of the finishing move I love. I used it a lot. When the match is already won, and "finish him/her" appears, you just do the joystick sequence. The joystick sequence differs. You can do (ex. Run Run Block Run Block) then move the joystick in a kind of direction, then do a button combination before doing (ex. Run Run Run up) to finish it. There are some finishing moves that cannot be completed without a sequence of button presses.

Mastering these moves is crucial for success in the game. Mortal Kombat features diverse stages like rooftops, balconies, graveyards, temples, and subways, each adding unique dynamics to the fights.

My preferred character was Sub Zero. Thanks to heavens that I'm familiar with his moves. I mesmerise with Subzero's "Ice shower".
I do that in a few ways. When I press down -forward-back, the high punch throws the ice behind my opponent. The ice clone by subzero is also a good move. Immediately it's performed, zero jumps away instantly making it difficult for the opponent to attack. What about the sliding? Oh! I loved it.

Thank you. If you like my writings, please don't hesitate to comment below. I'm open to corrections as well. Glad to take part in the contest. Please, help a newbie to grow. Jah bless
