No. They can not cure or even treat Alzheimer's in mice.

There are no mice that have Alzheimer's. They can create an artificial brain disease in mice and then partially treat that disease. Alzheimer's does not occur in mice or in any animal model.

The so called Alzheimer's mice are just a trick to get grants and publications to do experiments they couldn't do on humans to make it look like they're making progress. They assume that beta amyloid is the problem, rather than just a sign symptom and or manifestation of a coping mechanism that goes awry, and then these mouse models are created by over expression of beta amyloid. This leads to a dysfunctional mouse model, but you could do this by over expressing almost any protein in the brain. Meanwhile it lacks most of the traits that histopathologists use to identify Alzheimer's in human.

It has a completely different anatomical localization pattern. Has different behavioral effects. It has different patterns of immune system infiltration. It lacks other key microcellular features like Tau tangles. And I wouldn't be surprised if they tested for it that it shows a completely different pattern of bioenergetics and autoimmunity.

There are no animal models of Alzheimer's disease, schizophrenia, or autism. There are a bunch of bad scientists who have a pet theory that have made sick mice and called it those diseases. Never trust animal models in these topics.
