Ca-Rezzonico (Ca 'Rezzonico) - one of the magnificent palaces of Venice, located on the Grand Canal.
The palace is in the Dorsoduro district. The name comes from the name of Rezzonico, one of whose representatives acquired this palace in the XVIII century. Although the family of Rezzonico did not belong to the distinguished family, this name remained in the name of the palace to this day.
It is from this kind that the Pope Clement XIII (1759 - 1768), who became known for his active struggle with the philosophers of the Enlightenment, as well as with the representatives of the Jesuit Order, takes place.
The palace was designed by the architect Baldassar Longena at the end of the 17th - early 18th centuries. The construction was completed many years after the death of the architect, only by 1745, under the leadership of Giorgio Massari. The client of the construction of the palace was the patrician Filippo Bona.
Today in the palace is a museum of Venice of the XVIII century. There you can see the grandiose frescoes of the artist Giovanni Battista Tiepolo (1696 - 1770), the largest artist of Italian rococo.
