WELCOME TO MALAYSIA MRT.

in #transport7 years ago (edited)

I am going to share an article about MRT. MRT is a short term for Mass Rapid Transit. This article is about the rapid transit system in Kuala Lumpur.

The MRT Sungai Buloh–Kajang line is the ninth rail transit line and the second fully automated and driverless rail system in the Klang Valley area, Malaysia after the Kelana Jaya Line. It is a part of Greater KL/Klang Valley Integrated Transit System. The line is numbered 9 and coloured green on the official transit map.It is one of three planned rail lines under Klang Valley Mass Rapid Transit Project by MRT Corp. The Phase 1 between Sungai Buloh and Semantan commenced service on 16 December 2016. Phase 2 between Muzium Negara and Kajang was opened on 17 July 2017, as a free shuttle service, by Malaysian Prime Minister Dato' Seri Najib Tun Razak in a ceremony at the Tun Razak Exchange station. Full revenue service between Sungai Buloh and Kajang began the following day.

MRT from Sg Buloh to Kajang.

Wow! There are cards for students and senior citizens.

I love the design of the card.

This map show the route for the MRT from Sg Buloh to Kajang. Price of ticket from Sg Buloh to Kajang is RM 1.50 one way.

The ticket machine is multilingual - Malay language ( national language ), English, Chinese and Tamil.  Truly Asia.

Very well done. Dont you think so. 21st century transportation.

Nice experiences.......!!!!!! Whenever you are free do hop into the MRT.

It looks so much like the Singapore MRT! Especially the last few photos. have you tried it? how long is the full trip from end to end?

I only try from Kajang to Sg Buloh. One day must try the full trip and I will let u know how long?

I love KL MRTs! Always use it whenever I travel to KL. I wonder why people there still drive when they have such a cool public transport system like this, heheh.

I use to ride.. more faster.. my home just walk away from mrt.. very convinient.

To some people is more convenient to drive.

Now we have MRT. When I was living in KL a couple of years ago it was not completed yet. Btw, this brings back some good old memories when STAR LRT started its operation in 1997. I was doing my diploma and working part time as their Customer Service Guide, stationed at Ampang. It was 20 years ago and I was so young. Time really flies :)
