Madridejos is a fourth municipal pay class district on Bantayan Island in the region of Cebu, Philippines. It is one of the three municipalities that make up the island of Bantayan, which lies to the west of the northern tip of Cebu. It is bounded toward the south by the municipality of Bantayan. Madridejos is also known as Lawis.
Madridejos Barangays
As a district, Madridejos has barangays under its locale. Fourteen barangays included Madridejos that every offer extraordinary assets for movement, unwinding and energizing investigation on the island.
Bunakan, Kangwayan, Kaongkod, Kodia, Maalat, Malbago, Mancilang, Pili, Poblacion, San Agustin, Tabagak, Talangnan, Tarong, and Tugas.
In one of the barangays, Kaongkod, lies a watchtower which built to warn local people from the moving toward criminals. This watchtower is around 4 kilometers from a 'kota' (fort in the English term).
Bontay Baywalk
The baywalk is associated by a 187 meter footbridge connecting the shores of the island to a lighthouse or watch balcony.
The watchtower is one among the numerous on the island that was built under the supervision and plan of a parish priest of Bantayan in the nineteenth century.

The most ideal approach to get to Madridejos, given that you came from outside of Bantayan Island, is through its port in Santa Fe.
On the off chance that you are departing from Cebu City, take a transport from Cebu North Bus Terminal and after that get off at Hagnaya Wharf where you can take a ship for Santa Fe, Bantayan Island. The ship will take around 75 minutes to get to Santa Fe Wharf.
Speedier than a transport are the V-Hires (van) that you can get either at SM City Cebu and/or from Cebu North Bus Terminal.
From the Municipality of Sante Fe, take a jeepney that will take around a hour to Madridejos.

Been trying to go beautiful Cebu for many years... its just that it never happens. It was work commitment at first then it was the whole year calendar was filled-up by family events, then its the budget issue and lastly no friends are available to go.
I believe Madridejos is one of the many places of interest in Bantayan Island. From your picture its looks like a vibrant fishing village with crystal clear water. Looks like the whole family had fun... thanks for sharing @leebaong
