RESEARCHING ON THE INTERNET

in #steemitachievers8 years ago (edited)

Dear friends,

If you are sick, do you often search the symptoms, causes, and treatment on Internet?

Like books, Internet has much information we need. Technology has brought a lot of benefits to us for providing an easy access of knowledge we need to know, information from the different parts of the world.

If we look for something explicit, the Internet seems very tricky. We feel like we are surrounded by many books with rows and columns of the bookshelves. In short, we're in the library.

When we research online, we type the keywords of the information we are very curious about. Example, if I type the Philippines, what comes out are Philippine Travel, Philippine Airlines, and Tourist Spots in the Philippines. Let's always take note that the more specific we type, the more we can find the information we look for easily.

The second step is to seek a reliable engine. Put down your keywords to a searched bar. You will be amazed the numbers of the information that comes out.

Nevertheless, we should be cognizant that all of the information we get online, some of them are not 100% reliable. Before we accept the knowledge we get from the Web page, consider these criteria:

Authority

We should know that the information we gain from Web pages with informative write-ups is regulated by different institutions to be accepted online as an expert according to their corresponding fields.

Objectivity

Choose a Website that provides nonbias information. Stop exploring to the web pages that advertised products. Obviously, they are affiliated to advertise the product or paid. That is totally a "masked advertisement."

Currency

Regard when the website updated their page because it is useful to get information from a current and updated page. Always check the date it was updated. Be watchful to look their links if they still work. If the links don't operate, the webpage does not exist and not updated.

Accuracy

Cross-referencing is helpful to check the website's efficiency of the site's provided information. It is also with the other sources like different Website, books, and other printed materials.

Coverage

There are many websites that don't provide all the information we need, but they give us information where the reliable links to visit is listed.

Piccata? Titicaca! I am Cornholio! I need piccata for my bunghole!

HAHA! :D yes, I do that. Whenever I feel sick and I haven't had that kind of sickness before, I do my research and follow some home remedies they have listed there. hehe :) It actually helps a lot. :)

My wife follows Dr. Willy Ong in FB. She is very impressed with him and his doctor wife too. So to answer your question if we use the internet if we are sick - Yes, we do. : )

Of course if symptoms persist, we have to see the doctor.

Right now I am sick.
I don't know how to even research on the symptoms.

But I know i am dying gradually.

May God give me strength to succeed and survive

OMG! Don't say that! Go visit the nearest doctor but sorry I can't help with doctor's fee hehe get well! 😊

Yes I do because I cannot afford to always visit the doctor. When I was "rich" (talaga lang hehe) takbo agad ako sa doctor kahit "beke" na pwede gamutin ng anyel ba yun haha. 😊
