Why I will keep writing articles even if steemit didn't pay
Well my “estimated account value” is now $1.05. How will I handle it? lol Actually I know nothing about this system. I have written very little and one post says it is worth over $100.00. I just don’t grasp how it works. Pushing 70 years old may have something to do with it.
But I will keep writing homestead articles anyway. Why? Because I like the atmosphere here. My wife and I feel like we have a lot of practical hands-on experience to share and we have already seen there is much to learn here also.
We both love learning new things and feel like this is the place to do it. We hope to make new friends here and share the joy and excitement of homesteading freedom. We are just getting started and will try to post articles on a more regular basis.

It takes a little while for the payouts to rise. Posting and commenting are the surest way to build it up.
I'm looking forward to whatever stories, tips, tricks, or advice y'all have to share.

As I write this, you have just another day or two until you get your payout.
Don't be surprised when it is only about 75% what you thought it would be.... 25% will go to the curators that helped others to find your post. Otherwise you just need to transfer the funds into your wallet when you get paid. BEST long term advice is to convert it into STEEM POWER. Unless you want to start exchanging SBD for goods or services on here or some people have rewards for contests. but really, Steem power is the way to go. Congratulations by the way! Looks like you will be swimming wherever you wanna go in no time!

So I should always transfer steem dollars to steem and then convert steem to steem power?

Don't feel bad! I'm 30 and I still don't understand it either! But I love the community feel and will keep posting, too! I just followed you - I can't wait to see more about your journey and learn from those with experience!

Looks like it. Now I just need to grasp how the steem, steem power, and steem dollars works. Right now I'm just letting it ride.
It is best to power up your steem into steem power. That gives you your voting strength. You can powerdown later when you want ti withdrawl your millions. :)
