Bugs Banging in the Back Yard
Today I was in the back yard and happened to notice that one of the plants in the garden was full of beetles that were mating.
There were a lot of them paired up on this one plant, scattered throughout the flower petals and leaves. I'm not sure why they all gathered on only this one plant but I actually found it pretty of interesting.
I don't think the two in the next photo were reproducing. I think they were just hugging. Maybe they hadn't seen each other in a while and just really missed each other?
This one plant was practically a sleazy hotel attached to a strip club. Beatles were banging literally everywhere.
These two in the next photo were straight up acrobats. They were mating upside down. That was pretty impressive if you ask me.
After a while I did start to feel a bit awkward and began to wonder:
"Do they realize that I'm watching them and taking photos? Is it weird that I'm doing this?"
If they did realize that I was watching them, they didnt seem to mind all that much. They just kept carry on.
Anyway, I hope that you enjoyed your Sunday as much as the beatles in these photographs.
