Pasadena Oak (Quercus Engelmannii)

The Pasadena oak, scientific name quercus engelmannii, is a small tree in the white oak section.

Also called Engelmann oak, it is a small tree, up to 10 meters long, with a circular or oval canopy and generally evergreen.

The tree is native to southern California and northwestern Baja California, Mexico, extending from the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains through the Santa Ana Mountains to the Sierra Juarez and Sierra de San Pedro Martir.

The leaves are blue-green and leathery, flat or wavy, with smooth margins. They are 3-6 cm long and 1-2 cm wide.
