Japanese elm (scientific name: zelkova serrata) is a species of the genus zelkova native to Japan, Korea, eastern China, and Taiwan.

Known as keyaki/tsuki in Japanese, jǔshù in Chinese, and neutinamu in Korean, it is a medium-sized deciduous tree, usually up to 30 meters tall.

The leaves are simple, ovate to oblong-ovate with serrations on the edges, hence the scientific name serrata.

This tree is widely planted as a park plant and tree because of its beautiful bark and leaf color.
