Cow a predator?

Cows, like humans, are not able to digest cellulose with their own enzymes - a substance that is abundant in plants. Instead, it makes the microflora that lives in its digestive tract. The cow has a very large stomach (up to 300 liters), consisting of several divisions. Chew-chewed grass, abundantly moistened with saliva, enters the first department - a rumen. The rumen is this
fermentation tank, where microorganisms work intensively. Here their continuous cultivation takes place. Only in one gram of the contents of the rumen there are more than 10 billion organisms. Cellulose is the food for these billions of bacteria that inhabit the rumen, which in this warm porridge multiply with a crazy speed. In the rumen of the cow, not only microbes live, but also
multicellular protozoa of the type of infusoria. Multicellular plants devour bacteria and also actively multiply. When the concentration of microorganisms reaches a significant value, the cow sucks out all the liquid with microorganisms in another department - the abomasum, and the pressed grass regurgitates and is again chewed. What happens to the sucked microorganisms? The insidious cow pours them with acid and there is already an induced autolysis. Microorganisms self-destruct and self-destructive products of these microorganisms are absorbed into the body of the cow.
The cow eats the living creatures killed by it, so it is a predator. And grass is only food for microorganisms.
