Master Steemit : The Art of Making Friends and Providing Value

Just wanted to take a second to post about what I've learned about Steem so far...

1.) Steemit is a revolutionary new social website / cryptocurrency hybrid system

2.) Steemit is a community of like minded enthusiasts with hobbies including food, art, photography, cryptocurrency, fiction and non-fiction

3.) Steemit is a platform for sharing ideas and creating content that is helpful and interesting to the Steem community.

Now... although I'm new at this, here are some of my thoughts about how we may become more successful at engaging with the community and building a following:

1.) Take a look at the various categories that have labels on Steem for blog post articles.
2.) Write a list of categories in which you are interested in and feel you can either contribute to or enjoy reading about.
3.) Develop a habit of both contributing content to Steem and also commenting on other people's work with valuable and realistic feedback.
4.) Build a Twitter account and repost your content with appropriate hash tags to draw in more members.
5.) Provide solutions to problems people have that you can identify on Steem
6.) Bring real value in terms of ideas and content (nothing beats a positive attitude!)
7.) Attempt to build a project that stimulates, engages and integrates Steem community members, more specifically something that helps the greater good.

These are some of my preliminary thoughts but I would really like yours... How can we be more successful in creating a brighter and more vibrant community on Steem?
