How to make Meatball and Dumpling Soup

An unusual dish that combines two popular soups at once. Therefore, it turns out to be especially tasty.

Ingredients


  • Water 2¹⁄₂ l + 5 tbsp. spoons
  • Potato 3 pieces
  • Carrot 1 piece
  • Onion 1 piece
  • Minced meat 200–250 g
  • Salt taste
  • Ground black pepper taste
  • Vegetable oil 1 tbsp. the spoon
  • Egg 1 piece
  • Flour 5-6 tbsp. spoons
  • Spice taste
  • Greenery taste

Cooking


  1. Boil 2¹⁄₂ liter of water in a saucepan. Cut potatoes and carrots into small pieces.

2 ․ Throw vegetables into water and cook over medium heat for about 15–20 minutes.

3 ․ Chop the onion. Mix half with minced meat, salt and pepper. Form walnut-sized meatballs.

  1. Add the meatballs to the soup and cook another 10 minutes.

  2. Fry the remaining onion in oil until golden brown.

6 ․ For the dumplings, beat the egg, 5 tablespoons of water, salt and pepper. Pour the flour a little and mix so that there are no lumps. The dough should be no thicker than sour cream.

7 ․ Salt the soup and add about half a teaspoon of dough or a little more.

  1. When all the dumplings are in the pan, mix the soup, add the onions and spices. Cook another 4–5 minutes until the dumplings pop up.

  2. Sprinkle with herbs before serving.
