Frida Kahlo homage WIP
I finally started making art again and also want to come back to my blog.
I watched a documentary on Frida Kahlo recently and I am obsessed with her work and life now. Seeing the pain she faced daily and isolation she endured while still making art is what inspired me out of my depression and got me back to my traditional tools to create art so I wanted to honor her and make a portrait. It so far includes pencil, pen, marker, and glitter gel pens. :)
I haven't complete it yet but wanted to share the WIP with you guys.

What documentary did you watch?! I'm a big fan of the movie Frida (2002). I'd love to watch more. Her life and work is so inspiring.

It is called "The life and times of Frida Kahlo" I believe and is actually available in full on youtube with no ads. :D It was a very good documentary and taught me so much about her life and the pain she endured. Being as I am chronically ill and unable to leave my home for the most part and have been for the past year it really spoke to me and now I am obsessed. :)
