For those of us that are trying to find our purpose and live the life we really want in this big & complicated world, it's not always easy to balance the necessity of making money with doing what fulfills us.

Personally, I love writing. It's not easy to get a good gig as a professional freelance writer and it takes time to learn the skills and tactics you need to be successful.

Maybe you like photography. Before you can ever make it as a full-time photographer you're definitely going to need a ton of experience. Like lots.

Once again this goes back to our culture of immediate gratification. Everyone thinks they should be able to get everything they want right away. I know I fall into this trap a lot. Patience is key.

You see, if you take the time to learn the most valuable and hard to come by skills, you'll have clients and companies knocking on your door to throw you business. But it takes time. And Patience.
