Entrepreneur vs. Employee

So last year, I was an employee at a Fortune 100 company chugging along and doing my work in the good ole' US of A.

About 6 months into the job, I realized that I was extremely bored and feeling unaccomplished with everything I was doing. Now, some of this was the job's fault (I like to think a lot!) but some of it was also my fault. You always have to take acceptance for how you're feeling no matter if it's good or bad.

Anyways, I realized a ton of things from my 1.2 years at my company and my subsequent beginning as an entrepreneur.

  1. You can be an Entrepreneur EVEN IF you work at a traditional desk job. There are always ways to innovate and become creative. If your company is truly holding you back from doing anything new or groundbreaking, it isn't a place worth working at.

  2. Being an entrepreneur is hard. You have no boss. You have no "pressure" or quotas. You only have you. You have to hustle, fight, learn, think, struggle, and claw your way to where you want to be. There are millions of entrepreneurs out there and everyone wants a piece of the pie.

However, I recommend that everyone adopts an entrepreneurial mindset. Not the ridiculous all-in mindset that is ironically not how many entrepreneurs become successful.

I encourage you to continually think about ways to freshen up what you're doing, your daily habits, and never stop innovating no matter what you're doing! Ever!

So true - we're all a "Me Inc" and if you don't think like that then you're toast - doesn't matter if you work in as an employee or have your own business.

But the good news is that it makes for more fun if approached with the right mindset - an opportunity to be creative and add more value as you point out.

I believe this whole crypto space and shift towards a more 'tokenised' world will make more people start to think and act like entrepreneurs - like here on Steemit!
