Controlling Your Emotions
I really think they should teach practical things like controlling your emotions and personal finance in schools.
Why do they teach subject matters that kids forget about almost 99% of the time... Seriously do you remember anything from your 7th-grade math class?
Anyways I'm rambling. Since the schools don't teach the actual skills you need for life, you're going to have to teach them to yourself.
Controlling your emotions and feelings is one of the most important things you can do to make sure that your future is bright. Some people call it self-awareness. It's absolutely critical.
Here's a technique to start building self-awareness: Everytime you're in a difficult situation, take 3 deep breaths (doesn't even matter if other people see you taking deep breaths) and analyze what emotion you're feeling and the best thing you can do at that moment.
Later on, analyze WHY it was you felt that way. You'll start to see a bigger picture of your weaknesses and what you can work on when you do this often. This is how successful people navigate seemingly impossible circumstances. Self-Awareness and control of their emotions.
