I wrote this piece recently while thinking about the future, health, and conformity vs. the will-power required to tread our own paths in life. Hope you like it.

"Determined, Too"

florescent future, filtered flashes
universe perceived through chaos glasses
REFLECTION

logic frame supports the lens
thinking be-cause, practice understanding
stress and rest so the sentience mends
thoughts flying find firm landing

heart…wave…form
battle the storm
shape a norm
but first fly feral
and then conform

let karma be, easing eternal dread
know good, seek how
lowered guilt releasing binder thread
so much freer now
RECEPTION

dying body presses an urgency
so doped we couldn’t see
our life in emergency
help your brother

necessity the mother
invention the intention
see a peace, strike bright
PROJECTION

let go some tension
time is obscene
when the future is seen
heavy specs
