Hey man, no worries - still learning myself but I discovered two angles that really helped me here. I hope they help you - you will see mention of leaving 40-ish upvotes per day. Initially I was upvoting like a madman! After, studying further it appears 20 votes per 24 hours is most ideal. This keeps your voting power in the 93%+ range. Also. I am building followers primarily by commenting / curating on existing stories as opposed to putting out 'too many' original posts of own. I am trying to work smarter rather than harder here! Hope that helps bro, I also found the Steemit chat quite helpful @ the direction of kind, expert-level people like @sykochica
