Trapper Creek Alaska Berry Picking and Zombie Hippies-DAy TrIppING
In May every year in Trapper Creek Alaska there is a music festival. Music is played all day and night since the sun is up for nearly the same. People get together here from hundreds of miles around and kick off the summer after a long cold winter. The festival sits on 80 acres, come this time of year there is no one out there and it is a great place to pick berries. On this trip I picked Highbush Cranberries and Currents. They are very similar looking and tasting. We use them to make things like jelly, syrups, bbq sauces, sweet n sour sauces.
This is an enjoyable place to berry pick because hiking around feels like an adventure. Like zombie hippies might be jumping out around every corner!
