The next economic iPhone this year uses the "Full Active LCD"

Apple has been using LCDs on iPhones for many years, at least until 2017, when iPhone X became the first smartphone from Apple to use an OLED display. Apple is expected to move to full adoption on OLED screens in the future, but when it comes to next year's iPhone phones, Apple will still be using an LCD screen in at least one of the next three models.

However, according to a new report recently released by the Japanese blog Macotakara, it seems that next year's model with the LCD screen will use the Full Active LCD screen manufactured by Japan Display with Japan Pixel Eyes touch sensor. One of the advantages of this screen is that it allows manufacturers to make the screen frame so thin that the frame thickness reaches 0.5mm.

This makes sense in view of all the leaked images we received in the past, some of which show us the iPhone with a 6.1 "LCD screen. These leaks have shown us that the LCD model has the same design as the OLED display, thanks to the Full Active LCD.

Of course, it is better to treat the content of this report with less enthusiasm, but we hope it is true. Overall, we should be sure of everything when Apple officially unveils the new iPhone in September, as always, although you should expect that you will not get an iPhone with an LCD until at least October if the rumors Which we have recently received about production problems are correct.
