Excuses, Excuses

“So this writing thing is kinda hard!”

“I grossly miscalculated and underthought this entire undertaking when I began.”

“I should do this decoration to my office.”

“I should hope on blah, blah, blah and see what's the latest with news, movies, art, etc., you know, get inspired.”

“You know…..all your ideas, and thoughts have been written by someone else, already.”

All these thoughts and more is why you haven’t heard from me in two weeks.

TWO WEEKS!!

You’ve seen, heard, or read it before….mental illness is “hard”. (For lack of a better term)Societies, in all forms, across the world have had to “deal” with certain members of their “groups” being a little “weird”, or “off” since recorded history began. Naturally with that recording came knowledge, which leads to study. That study begets more knowledge, and so on and so forth. (Obvious I know!)

The internet has added a completely different layer to the aspect of education, in regards to mental illness, especially [in my opinion] within the last 5 years. There has been such an influx of openness from the mental health community having outlets such as social media, and blog sites to share with others their feelings and experiences. Their lives. (Also obvious…..I know)

But I feel this proves two things overall:

  1. Modern society is more educated about mental illness than ever before.
  2. Even though mental illness affects billions of people, each journey is personal!

So, even though it is by all technical definitions an “excuse”, that’s why its taken me two weeks to write another post.

My. Brain. Gets in the way!

To Be Continued…..
