So this is winter...
Sometimes a mother’s got to do what a mother’s got to do - like go outside and enjoy the supposedly magnificent winter scenery. Personally, I hate winter and snow and the slippery roads… But then, the amazing @honeydue has this amazing phone that takes really amazing pictures and she needs some for her amazing blog. There’s also the amazing little one who has to be dragged outside and would be perfectly happy to be left to his own devices - at home!
Well, but he also needs some fresh air and a bit of running around in the snow surely won’t hurt him!
So, we started our week by enjoying the freshly laid snow - fortunately it didn’t snow that much… My grandmother used to say winter storms last either one or three day. We got lucky and it only snowed for a couple of hours last night. Which is quite enough, as you don’t want to know what a considerable amount of snow means for the city I live in, especially when it comes to traffic. A white nightmare, that’s all I can say…
My pictures aren’t that great, I know, but I did my best to edit them. I will seriously need to buy a new phone - as soon as Steem is going to the moon… I wouldn’t want to be the laughing stock of the blockchain and post crappy blurry pictures of my brand new Lambo, would I?
Fortunately, the day was nice enough so we didn’t actually freeze and we somehow managed to have a good day. Mission accomplished!
That’s somebody else’s dog - quite funny with a long black beard cover in snow. I did not get a good picture as it seemed sort of rude to ask a complete stranger 'hey, could I borrow your dog to take some pictures for my blog?' After I get a new phone, I’ll probably get myself a pet, just so I can take cool pictures of it…
I’ve spent the past 20 years taken my kids to this park, so I know it like the palm of my hand. However, this is one of the places that I always find impressive. It’s supposed to be a fountain, though I’ve rarely seen it working. What’s interesting it’s the story behind it as the statue was dedicated to someone’s daughter, a girl named Sissi, who died almost one hundred years ago at the age of 21. I don’t know if putting up a statue brought some comfort to the grieving family, but at least the memory of that girl lives on.
Now that I've written a post about winter, I really hope we won't see much more snow... how many winter pictures can someone post after all?
What I'd like instead is a series of posts about an incredibly early spring and unusually high temperatures. How about that?
Noooo... because that would mean our summer was over, and it's barely started!
Your photos look plenty good enough to me!
That's true, I guess, but then your winters aren't as cold as ours... it's easier for you... and you have the beach, too!
Lol. Yes, our weather is more moderate both ways. Though the beach can be mighty unpleasant when a strong southerly gale is blowing up direct from Antartica ;-)
