Dashing through the snow...
The Easter Bunny goes Ho-Ho-Ho!
That's the mood around here right now. As a nation, we Romanians love to make fun, even in a bad situation or especially than. (That's one of the things that kept us going doing the communist era – the jokes.)
Also, as a decent European country, we are not accustomed to see snow around Easter. I know this is common in the Northern US or Canada, but here Easter is supposed to come with a balmy weather, a time when traditionally people like to parade their new spring outfits.
My son unwittingly put on his new sneakers today only to be told that, no, it's bloody snowing outside!
I'd really like to share with you nice pictures, winter wonderland kind of stuff, but as I live in a big city all I can show is the misery of slippery sidewalks and dreadful winter traffic. A short shopping trip had us shivering with cold and getting our feet wet didn't help much.
Yet, as I was saying, we're trying to make fun and my social media feed is full of Christmas meets Easter jokes. Even the kids started to ask: 'when is Santa coming?'

Yes, I am a maniac as far as Christmas presents are concerned, but the Easter Bunny – not very much!
I wonder if I could convince them the Easter Bunny had to be taken to the hospital with frostbites and could not make it this year!?

Oh how sad lol....I know how much you are yearning for the warmer weather..the kids, too! It will come as surely as it has every other year, but why does it take so long sometimes?? When it does come, I hope it is a fabulous Spring for you and your family!

Awesome! Things are beginning to return to normal for us here. My son, Rodney, has returned to work after 7 1/2 months coming back from that awful accident. I will never forget how kind and caring you were during those early weeks <3
I'm so glad to hear that, it's wonderful. Last week, when I wrote the Dr.Mom post I was thinking about you and all the things you've had to deal with and learn during those terrible times.
I just now read your Dr. Mom post and I think it is right on point. I have missed so many good posts as I scrambled with doctors and therapy and work. Now that Rodney is back to his own schedule I will have more time to read the blogs that I love and to also resume my own writing. It seems I have only had time to write short replies and create quick meme entries. Over the summer I am going to cut down on work hours and reclaim my spirit lol.
