Delicious and easy to make Milk Bread 🍞
Hello everyone. It’s pretty cold here in Buenos Aires, Argentina. As i’m writing this we’re at 5 degrees. What am i listening to? Janis Joplin. Listening to Janis makes me feel alive. I’m listening to her last album “Pearl” that was released just months after her death. Listening to Janis makes me go back to my high school years cause she was the one i would listen to 24/7. I’ve been a little nostalgic today and maybe that’s why I made this recipe.
This recipe is actually from my dad cause I always wanted him to make me this bread. It’s so soft and you just can’t resist it. I don’t think you can ever go back to buy bread when you get used to do it yourself, cause there’s nothing in this world better than having some of your recently baked bread. The smell expands to the whole apartment and my senses are going insane.
Last time i shared a bread recipe it was something a wholemeal bread with seeds. In case you want to read that one, here’s the link: https://hive.blog/hive-148441/@lachg89/delicioso-y-nutritivo-pan-de-molde-integral-con-semillas
This time i wanted something a little easier because i didn’t want to spend that much time in the kitchen. If you’re looking for a delicious and easy to make bread, here’s the perfect recipe for you.
Let’s start with the ingredients. This is what you’re gonna need:
- Wheat flour (450 g)
- Milk (170 ml)
^ Fresh yeast (25 g) - Salt (½ teaspoon)
- Eggs (2)
- Olive oil (50 ml)
- Honey (1 tablespoon)
- Sugar (70 g)
Now let’s proceed with the preparation for this delicious homemade milk bread.
First we’re gonna grab a bowl and put the milk and the fresh yeast. Then we’re gonna add the salt and mix.
Add the two eggs and the olive oil (or corn oil, or butter) and mix well.
Now add the honey and then the sugar. Mix until it’s all well integrated.
Lastly we’re gonna add our wheat flour and mix it with a wood spoon. Once it’s all combined we’re gonna start to knead on the table covered with wheat flour. After 10 minutes kneading it should look something like this:
Now put it in the oven at 80 degrees and you’re gonna leave it there for 20 minutes. Once the 20 minutes have passed, you’re gonna turn up the heat to 180 degrees for 15 minutes. Before putting it in the oven, cover the dough’s surface with 1 whipped egg.
An this is the delicious result. Make sure to cover it with butter so that way it’s gonna stay fresh for more days and softer. Also it gives the bread an even more delicious taste.
I hope you all are having an amazing week. I will try to make my week as happy as possible. Until next time. Cheers from a venezuelan in Argentina.
Andy.
