Game of the Year from 2004-2022 || Part -1 || Tron Fan Club
Greetings everyone. How are you all doing? Hopefully everyone is doing alright and having a good time in the community. I am also doing fine alhamdulillah.
Each year a series of games for consoles and PCs gets released and only the best ones gets nominated for being the game of the year. These gotg winners are decided via a blended vote between the voting jury and by the public fans who vote via social platforms or from the show's own website. The voting ratio is 90% / 10%
Various types of games of various genre gets released every year. And some of the games gets huge pops and positive response. Most of the time those hyped up games wins the game of the year award.
The nominees requires a several number of elements to be considered in this list. Such gameplay elements are: gameplay qualities, any innovative new features which has never been seen before in a game, overall story and how positive gamers are about the game. I must add that there is no single, universally recognized Game of the Year award. Different organizations and publications has their own distinct criteria and nominees for their respective awards. There are many game of the year awards section in this show. Each has their own process and their set of nominees. Usually we can say that the game with the most amount of awards gets recognized as the game of the year for that particular year.
There has been various Game of the years till now. Each game had their reasons to be called by this title. I'm highlighting some of the most anticipated games from the past few years below...
2004
Gta San Andreas was the most anticipated game of 2004. This game is one of the major success of Rockstar Games. This game had a major impact and it set up a new standard for open world games in that time. The gameplay, the graphics, the story were all top notch of this game. Which is why people often remember this game as the GOTG of 2004. This game was awarded the Game of the Year title by various publications and organizations for several reasons. GTA San Andreas sold over 27 million copies across various platforms till now.

Resident Evil 4 was surely one of the most popular games released on 2005 if not the most popular game of that year. This game is a survival horror game developed by Capcom. This game got all the love for it's gameplay innovations, intense atmosphere, good story, character improvements etc. This game even got a remake released on March of this year. It's safe to say that this game had it's pros and is a well deserved candidate for the GOTG title as many people claims it to be.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is one of the most popular games released on 2006. It's safe to say this game was the most hyped up game of 2006. This game was a open-world role-playing game developed by Bethesda Game Studios. This game got all the love for it's massive open world, impressive role playing mechanism and a deep lore. Although I don't like games such as this one but I'm sure it had it's abilities for claiming the GOTG title of 2006. Specially the hype for this game was amazing if I remember correctly.
