Game Of The Year From 2003 - 2023 || Part 07 || Tron Fan Club
Greetings fellow tron lovers. Let's hope everyone is doing well. I am also doing fine alhamdulillah.
It's been quite awhile since I last posted the 6th part of this series. We are pretty much near the end of this series now. Let's hop in to part 7 and let's check out some of the best games that got released between 2018-2019. Between this time frame [2003-2023], 2018 is the most memorable for me. Cause 2 of the all time best games were released on 2018. The top 2 games of 2018 for me was Red Dead Redemption 2 and God Of War 4. Let's not waste more words and get straight into them.
God Of War
God Of War was the most popular game of 2018. This was the 4th installment of the God of War Franchise. This new installment takes place in Norse mythology unlike 1-3 takes place in the Greek mythology. The second major change was the pov. God of War (2018) Introduces a new over-the-shoulder, third-person perspective, providing a more immersive and cinematic experience. This perspective makes the gameplay much more realistic compared to the old ones. The combat system has gone through several changes in this one too. God of War 4 features a more strategic and dynamic combat system rather than the old known hack and slash combo based attacks. This game has shown one of the best character developments of a protagonist who goes from ruthless and merciless to wise and peace seeking. The main character is still the same, but in the newer version, he's wiser, calmer, and tries to avoid causing trouble most of the time. And the visuals of the game is stunning. The graphics are amazing and dynamic. It's hard to tell which one's a cutscene and which one's an actual gameplay.
Although God Of War 2018: didn't win the most awards, it still won the best game/Game of the Year award and title. God of War (2018) sold over 23 million copies which is a huge amount.
Red Dead Redemption 2
Red Dead Redemption 2 is undoubtedly the best game I've ever played. This game has all the elements to be called the best Open World game of all time. Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR2) is an action-adventure game that takes place in 1899 wild west era. You get to play as a member of a gang of outlaws and can enjoy peak wild west experience. The gameplay and the overall graphics of the game is still up to date. Specially the visuals and graphics of the game is still no.1 one despite of it being a 5 years old game. RDR 2 is a prequel to RDR1. The gameplay and the story progressing of this game is also the very best just like its visuals. The missions, gun fights, game physics, water physics, horse riding experience, the detailing all are top of the line of this game. I've already finished this game over 4 times and still find new things every now and then in each gameplay.
RDR 2 could have been the game of the year but sadly it lost to GOW. I think RDR only lost because it was released mid year. Had Red Dead Redemption 2 been released at the start of the year, just like God of War, I'm confident it would have easily secured the Game of the Year title.
RDR 2 has sold over 57 million copies worldwide.
