Good day pretty girls.
OUR LIFE DURING THE PANDEMIC
Year 2019 is the outbreak of the Covid19 virus. It caused many damages. And education is affected also. Students are not allowed anymore to go to school since there were restrictions to follow and minors are not allowed to go out. After 2 years, the pandemic slowly calm. But just December 2021, another disaster came. Supertyphoon Odette or internationally named as typhoon rai leave much more damage to our place here in Cebu. We experience no electricity, no internet connection, no signal and scarcity of supply of water for 2 months. And it prolonged the agony of the students as well as the parents because face-to-face classes is postponed again due to typhoon since the building has major damage and not yet safe for the kids.
THE PREPARATION
Last month, month of March is a busy month to us teachers. Since the Department of Education just announced that we need to prepare our school for the coming face-to-face classes before the school year ends. And since we go down to alert level 1, all the teachers are already on duty. So, had lots of meeting, we clean the classrooms, clean the school ground, some classrooms were fixed by our maintenance, we also clean and repaint our park. Then, we also prepared a dance presentation to formally welcome the kids.
SCHOOL BUKOL
And the most awaited day already came. The school finally open. Supposedly it will be last monday April 11 but another typhoon came but not that strong in our area yet we experienced heavy rainfall for almost 1 week. So, the school decided to postpone the opening of class the next day. So, by tuesday, it was at last opened. And since it still rained, the we just let the students stayed on their classroom's aisle and the program was push true just to formally welcome them. And we had our first ever flag ceremony after the pandemic.
And since today is our last day for this week since the next two days are holiday due to holy week, we had our first ever flag retreat after the pandemic. As you had notice, only few students fall in line because we dont force the other students to attend the face-to-face classes. We gave them the freedom yo choose wether they wanted face-to-face classes or modular approach.
And what I am praying now and I know you also do, that we will all be back to normal without following any restrictions and withour wearing face mask. Yet, I am still thankful to God for letting us experience this pandemic because we got many life lessons that will strengthen us in the future.
That would be all for now. I am inviting my sisters @abby0207, @bisayakalog and @fabio2614 to share their story here.
So glad we had a great week and first day of face to face class sister in spite of the heavy rain. Stay safe!
