The diary game -- 09/09/21-- Hard Work Wins
Hello everyone, hope you all are doing well. As i had told earlier that my exams were going on, so i had two exams today. I woke up at 7 am and revised the syllabus for my first exam. These exams are of 15 marks and of continuous assessment type. At about 8:30 am, i took shower and prepared myself for the exam. The exam was lengthy as per expectation. The questions were MCQ types, but we had to submit rough work of the sheet where we had solved the problems . Tecahers intentionally add such things in exams, so as to restrain cheating as much as possible in the online exam. At 10 am, i am free with exam. I had my breakfast then. I then started preparing for the other one, which was scheduled at 3 pm.
I had also attended a class at 12 noon. At about 1:30 am, my Theory of Machines professor sent a very good news to all of us. He sent a YouTube LIVE link , in which the NIRF ranking of colleges across all over India were releasing by honourable education minister Dharmendra pradhan. IIT Madras topped the list.
NIRF ranking list
At about 3:30 pm, we all came to know that our college NIT Durgapur has been ranked 6th among all NITs of India. It's NIRF ranking had been increased from 47 last year to 29 this year. The news made all us proud. Across all social media platforms, i could see that students had put the status of such a great achievement. The achievement was really very big and had been made possible after a lot of hard work. The professors as well as research scholars had developed low cost oxygen concentrators to serve the people at the time when the covid was at its peak and there were unavailability of oxygen.
Director's congrats message
When, i had entered the college last year it was at 10th position among all NITs. But, now ut is at 6th . Above it are 4 south indian NITs.
Good ranking offers many new opportunities for the students as well the cutoff for this college will definitely go up this year. Better research opportunities and better placements can also be the consequences.
After all this, as i was tired after giving two exams, so i took some rest and then watched some facebook videos.
In evening, i studied for my tomorrow's exam.

Yeah, online classes are really not upto the mark for both students and teacher as well.
