Almost A Spoiler
Norwegian driver Frederic Aasbo, seen here in his 1000 HP Toyota Corolla, nearly took the 2018 Formula Drift season championship from Ireland's James Deane. Coming into the event, Deane looked to have the championship in the bag, especially when he laid down a near perfect 99-point qualifying run. Deane was knocked out by Forest Wang though, and now Aasbo had a chance at the title...if only he could win every match-up. Deane and his team could be seen on the Jumbotron watching live-feed of every heat that Aasbo drove, and Aasbo had them chewing their nails as he kept knocking down challengers. The final battle was one of the best of the season, as the judges called for "one more time" TWICE, forcing Aasbo to face off against Vaughn Gittin Jr. six times before the judges were finally able to declare Gittin Jr the winner of the event, giving James Deane the season championship. This one will be talked about for a long time!
