Skateboarding is a sport that consists of sliding on a board with wheels and in turn being able to perform a variety of tricks, a large part of them lifting the board from the ground and making figures and pirouettes with it in the air

It consists of “surfing” the streets with a skateboard, each challenge consists in crossing increasingly complicated surfaces without losing balance on the skate.

History.

The emergence of this extreme sport lies in the state of California for the 1960s and 1970s, at which time extreme sports such as surfing enjoyed a great boom (era of modality) worldwide. The main reason for the creation of skateboarding is based on the replacement of the surfboard on land. The first designs of these consisted of only one piece of wood altered mainly with skate wheels. Then by 1972, skateboard boards began to be manufactured with a more advanced and specific technology for that modality. The manufacturing materials consisted of soft, low strength iron, clay and rubber. Later in 1972, this interest in the tables began to be noticed through magazines and the media. By 1975 and 1980, the modality was already dispersed throughout the United States. Finally, by the beginning of the 1980s, skateboarding was expanded by every corner of the world, youth acquired it as theirs, as well as public spaces, since these are their own to be able to practice the sport. Created from a variation of surfing, this is usually an advertising claim for young people (skateboarders or not). On those who skate, a 2002 report for the American Sports Data estimated that there were 13.5 million skateboarders worldwide; 84% are under 18, of which 74% were men and 26% women.

In 1963 in the state of California, the first skateboarding championship took place and two years later the number of skateboarders had already multiplied and the first international championships began to be organized (1965).
