Highway to the City
A deeply reflective tune, I have my interpretation and I hope the listener makes their own. The only thing I would say is though the words suggest a darker vibe.. that wasn't actually where I was taking this... it was more of a late night jam that just developed naturally. I do Appreciate you dropping by.
Lyrics...
I’m on a highway to the city
It’s in my blood and Bone
And times ain’t been so pretty
Here I don’t belong
Oh I’m going home
I’m on a Highway to the City
I guess I’ve always known
That doubt and dark self-pity
Would one day take their toll
Oh I’m going home
Oh I’m going home
Slipping off the radar – going down that road
Slipping off the radar – going down that road (rpt)
I’m on a highway to the city
With this place I am done
And when I reach that City
My trouble will be gone
Oh I’m Going home
Oh I’m Going home
