Wake Up
Wake up to a beautiful weekend!
So I confess When I was first on here just a short few weeks ago, as you know, one is barely an single celled amoeba let alone a piece of plankton! Perhaps you will forgive me then for posting this track, that had little to no audience, for its second outing, It was a real fun one to do and it has a feel -good vibe that I would like to share with you.
► Listen on DSound
► Listen from source (IPFS)
hi ... i also have uploaded in dsound, but still many shortcomings, what should i do ...?tq
What do you mean, in terms of traffic to your track?
My first thought upon hearing this was The Kinks - "Dead End Street". Your song, tune-wise, almost feels like a cheery inverse of that.
(I'm only sharing this video for what he says at the very end. I like that bit of commentary on songwriting.)
Otherwise, I like these:
I'm realizing how moody my taste tends to be in comparison to your own sound. I think that's funny. Both humorous and just interesting to make not of.
And...one of my personal favorite wake up songs because, just because, why not?
Yeah that is a beautifully accurate Ray Davies comment. I often thing where do songs come from? I mean, it's not like I could claim them...they come...from soewhere, a phrase more a feeling, and certainly a visual. Thanks again for sharing these videos... some realy lovely stuff I get your vibe and feel we are reading from the same hymn sheet!
Hey, you have me looking forward to your comments! Cheers :)
Aw, that's wonderful. <3
That's what I've been sensing too - some like-mindedness/feeling/language.
It's funny, when you hear someone's song and verse it's not necessarily some simple and direct, flat communication that plays and ends there at your hearing. It's like you can read back in a way to what led them there in life (on into the process of writing) - if you're listening enough. You can at least infer in some way which leads you down an interesting path that might intersect their experience with your own. And I guess that's what leads us to relate, to each other, and to other sounds, other artists. I probably could've said that a lot simpler, but the idea itself is a beautifully flowery one that kind of lends room for a little flourish of language.
There is a little bit of magic in the way music is made. I'll always believe that, because I've seen too much of it not to. And the thing is, while I'd liken it to magic, I wouldn't necessarily call it something rare. I think it's just there in our minds (in our own realms of existence), as a well to be drawn from; it's just a factor of whether we know to pull from it, whether we realize that realm exists for us to be listening in to. I think our human experience is so much deeper and more complex than we realize; surely more than we're even able to articulate if we did realize, if we ever fully could. I think we're interconnected in some amazing ways that we often take for granted, some ways that go far beyond language. That's why I liked his description so much. There are so many creative ways of illustrating our experiences and communicating them. What does it look like? What does it feel like? What does it sound like? Don't just use words; we have so much more at our disposal. Tell me more...
I know some people love to hate Oasis, but I've always liked that song. Matches well with the Kinks reference anyway.
I'm glad you like my shares. I'll try to stay caught up on your music and let you know what all it brings to mind. Just fun for me. :)
Verse : America - Horse with No Name ..... Anyone !??? Chorus : REM Bridge : Brian Wilson ! Deon I think we are both obvious sponges and in a good way! I am very happy you uploaded it again it's an amazing track

No need to apologise for reposting it Deon, @prc said in his last post on the new version of dSound that it's OK as "good music is timeless" (just don't spam) and this definitely fits in to this category! Totally getting @edprivat 's references :-)
Thanks for the wink! ;)
Thats good to know, thats for setting my mind at rest, and for your continued support.
Great tune! Happy I caught it the second time around, my friend! I haven’t reposted any sounds (yet), but I saw that PRC even recommended it somewhere (can’t remember where)
Hey Dr, thanks for dropping by, really appreciate it! That'd be cool if he did give me the nod :)
