Some People Love Their Ignorance
My partner asked about pesticides on fruits and veggies in Quebec on her Facebook. People started to criticize her that she shouldn't worry, that stress of worrying was more harmful than any harmful chemicals being sprayed on the food and being absorbed into the food.
As far as they were concerned everything is safe. There is no danger from chemicals being put on food and us eating them. Stress was more harmful than harmful chemicals that kill small animals known as insects, and somehow us larger insects were immune from any negative effects of these chemicals.
It just demonstrates how people love the bliss of ignorance and view knowledge as suffering. It perfectly demonstrated the state of consciousness on this planet. We are our own worst enemies :/

This is but one (of many) reason I got off FB last year.
I became too discouraged about the ignorance, level of social-engineering, and hypnotic stupor under which my fellow brethren have fallen besieged to.
Like you, I am from Quebec. And I find it particularly saddening that many of our fellow Quebecois have devolved into such a state, as before I mostly saw them as a bit more alert and cognizant of such issues plaguing our nation (and the world).
Although I've been away for over 10 years now, I am afraid to know what they currently really think of issues such as 5G, Chemtrails, Vaccines, LGBTQ, etc. The mere thought of it scares me...and, as such, maybe I am sadly also falling in to this trap of ignorance.

In 1957 there was a chemical Company that introduced a method of getting all the wheat to ripen at the same time. They would fly over the field that might be half green still and spray. 1 Week later the wheat was ready to harvest, the whole field. You might ask why I mention this? well, the fledgling company was the parent of Monsanto (yeah, that creepy company) and the "Spray" was indeed ROUNDUP. They sprayed this crap on the stuff you make bread out of, birthday cakes, all kinds of great stuff. Then came "Gluten intolerance" and no one quite figured out why people were alergic to bread. Well, the hull of the berry (gluten) was saturated with ROUNDUP and we were eating it!!
Go Organic! live a little longer.
Yup, digestive/intestinal issues, and chemicals sprayed attack the digestive systems of insects... hmmm... clearly no link whatsoever. Retarded humanity. Fuckin so retarded.

Ignorance WAS bliss... but i didn't know that, and i popped the bubble of ignorance, and now have to deal with the consequences.
I am unsure that anyone can say Ignorance is bliss.
You can't really know until you lost it.
I can say it, I can see how they prefer ignorance to keep themselves in a "Fell-good" positive state because looking at the negative would take them down and away form the feel-good bliss of ignorance and fantasy unreality they live in.
The bubbles people seem live in just blows my mind.

It really is crazy how many people refuse to lift their own veil & do whatever the big corporations tell them to.
