Travel Tip #4: Bergen, Norway | Streets of Bergen

Hello fellow Steemians! How are you? I really love writing these travel-tip-posts, and I hope you will enjoy this next one. Bergen is one of my favorite cities in Norway, so I'm not done telling you about this one quite yet.

One of the things I love most about Bergen, is how the city is built and maintained. Most of its old buildings are still standing. Bergen is located in a valley surrounded by high mountains, and many of the houses are built on the hillsides.

Fløyen is one of the most famous mountains in Norway, and while walking up there you will be able to see many streets like this one;

I love walking here. The streets are so narrow and cozy, and they make a great photography spot.

The Fløibanen funicular in Bergen is one of Norway’s best-known attractions, but if you want to get the most out of your trip to this city, I would recommend walking up the mountain. You will have a completely different experience, and it's free!

The first part of walking up Fløyen will consists of stairs like these.

Living in Bergen, or being a tourist, there is a few things you should know:

• Always bring an umbrella. The hoodie on your raincoat won't help you since it rains sideways in Bergen.
• Every tourist attraction is a bit expensive, but well worth it. So save up!
• Food and drinks is not very cheap. One beer will cost you about 11 dollars. Again, save up!
