There plenty of bad things you can say about China. But their timetable for building the Tiangong 3 (Heavenly Palace 3) space station cannot be described in any other words than super-ambitious.

China wants a new space station. And they want it quick. Their plan is to start bringing modules of the space station by 2021 and by 2023 they want to do a total of 11 missions.
The transportation of the individual components of the Heavenly Palace will be done with Long March 5B rockets and their future variants respectively. The first part that makes it to orbit should be the 20-ton base module and China hopes that this will happen next year.
Among the 11 already mentioned missions, China plans to get two experimental modules into space, four crewed spaceships, and four cargo missions.
Once Heavenly Palace 3 is finished, it should function mostly a laboratory for scientists from all over the world. Many different experiments from many different fields should take place on board. Ranging from astronomy, going through biotechnologies, and even up to physics experiments.
From the information available we managed to understand that up to 18 new astronauts are being recruited from the Chinese air force.
