Matt Bogtrotter suspected something was a little off when his ample nan tried to peck him when he was just six years old. Nevertheless, he lived a relatively normal life among other humans.
It wasn't until he bumped into the devilishly brunette vampire, Clarke Gobble, that his life finally began to make sense.
However, Clarke proved to be thoughtful and seemed to have an unhealthy obsession with partying. Matt soon learnt that Clarke had taken an oath never to taste a human being.
When Matt's ample nan is injured in a bear baiting accident, Matt realises his own life is at risk.
Despite Clarke'sfoul odour and thirst for blood, Matt finds himself falling for the vampire. Only fate will decided whether he kills or protects him.
One night, a gremlin appears before Matt and warns him of a darkness within Clarke. The gremlin gives Matt the silver knife - the only weapon that can defeat a brunette vampire.
Will Matt find it in himself to kill the only creature who has ever made him feel truly uneasy? (Hint: yes!)
