A VISIT TO A BOOK FAIR

A book fair is a feast of books. It is a celebration of intellect, thoughts and opinions. Books on various subjects are displayed in the book fair. A book fair is a heaven for book lovers. This year I visited the Kolkata Book Fair with my parents. The vast expanse of the fair-ground was quite familiar to the frequenters like me. The Kolkata Book Fair was held at the Milan Mela ground, near EM Bypass. Hundreds of stalls were set up in an enclosed area. The stalls stood in rows. They were nicely designed and decorated and were stuffed with books to attract the buyers. I bought some books after a lot of selection. The books by the top writers were being sold like hot cakes. In the evening the fair ground turned into a fairyland. A crowd of mothers and children with colourful dresses gave the fair a festive look. Thus, time winged its way and we were on our way back home.
