🇮🇩 The beautiful rice terraces of Tegallalang, Bali, Indonesia
Hello Steemians,
Today I am going to talk about the beautiful rice terraces of Tegallalang in Bali, Indonesia, that I visited back in 2009.
Tegallalang is a district in the south-east of Bali, and its rice terraces are the major tourist attraction in the area. If you like lush greenery, this is THE place to visit, when in Bali.
I also saw some local Balinese ladies in the street, while we were driving to the rice terraces. From the way they were dressed, and the things they carried on their heads, I believe they were going to a temple, and that they were carrying offerings and gifts to their gods. I took a couple of pictures.
And I will finish off with a video of the rice terraces I found on Youtube; it shows how the locals irrigate the crops.

I am falling more and more in love with the idea of going to Bali the more time I spend on Steemit. I had never considered it because of the tourist areas most Australian's go to but now I'm starting to see how much it has to offer.
