The title in this Steemit post is for those who will read a headline and run to tell everyone Kory said don't vote for him. When actually, if you read the rest of this article you will find out, that is not what I mean.
Since I announced my run for Governor of Texas in May, I have promised to stay the same, be true to who I am and never change to appease to the politically correct junkies. I have stuck to that promise and it feels good. In the last 6 months I have been told what to wear, what to say, how to act, what to think, people talking about me, my family, spreading lies about me and so much more. I hear a lot of people wanting change but sadly those same people fail to change themselves by continuing the same systematic political process that has miserly failed in achieving large strides for freedom.
Active in the streets for gun freedom
If you want me to be politically correct, don't vote for me.
If you want me to beat around the bush and tell you what you want to hear, don't vote for me.
If you want me to wear a suit every time I am out or every time I take a picture, don't vote for me.
If you want me to NOT be an activist and NOT join people in the streets, don't vote for me.
If you want me to be someone who I am not, then don't vote for me because I will disappoint you greatly.
Well, am I?
If you want someone who is raw, bold and unapologetic with the message of freedom, vote for me.
If you want someone who will give it to you straight forward no matter if you like it or not, vote for me.
If you want someone to be themselves and down to Earth, vote for me.
If you want someone that is not afraid to get in the streets and stand for something, police accountability, free speech, gun rights, cannabis freedom, then vote for me.
If you want someone who will take action when things are needed, like help raise over $10,000 for hurricane victims in Houston and hand deliver items, then vote for me.
If you want someone who is going to say something and then do it, rather than just talk about doing it, then vote for me.
If you want someone who would risk their life to further freedom, then I ask you to vote for me.
